Model Specific message boards are great for info and parts sourcing, I've used them extensively.
There are others...just do a search, they are out there.
Other Van Clubs:
There
are two kinds of van clubs, old one full of old creepy dudes and the occasional
old lady and newer ones that have young "hip" kids in them with cool
tattoos, vintage motorcycles and what not. We like both. You see, we will all
become old creepy dudes, and we enjoy old creepy people and weirdness in general,
it's very entertaining. We know that one day we will look in the mirror and see
the old creepy guy we once shunned. So we can dig and respect the old vanner,
it's the inevitable outcome. Like this guy here on the left, he's done with
trying to impress anyone, he's truly free. Anyone willing to rock that badass
coat just don't give a fuck. I can respect that. Most young people are too hung
up on appearances, to look at a guy like that and see he walks the world with no
fear. Can you say the same? Doubtful.
The younger dudes are cool too because they have youth and drive to make things happen. Energy is very important in making things work, we can see that there is a lot of crossover stuff between vans, skateboarding, surfing, bicycles, motorcycles, and at least in our corner of the van universe, soapbox derby. None of this existed in the past as far as I could tell. I'm guessing these scenes are too small to survive on their own so they join forces. These newer clubs are the driving force in a new van scene, one that with your help we want to push to max.
Fuck yeah, we dig that!
